SLEEP
Sleep, and the world sleeps with you.
Sleep, for the night is come
And with it respite from
All that, as we sink into

Sleep, where no one waits but you.
Society is unknown
In the world of the alone,
Where all that we can do

Is sleep. Many still remain awake
Under the grim fluorescent lights,
But that life we can't recall.

The busy people give and take
But asleep, we exercise our rights
Of sleep, and that is all.
