Cross Keys Square, London, 1981
More classic urban planning. Cross Keys Square is in the heart of the City of London, between St. Paul's Cathedral and the Barbican Centre. To protect the lawn from the passengers alighting at the "car set downpoint," the grass has been replaced with asphalt. The straight fences around a circular street ensure that as much of the lawn as possible is paved.
